Just curious....

I seen pics on NN of Newfies in sprinklers....None of the Newfies I live with or associate with will tolerate a sprinkler or being sprayed by a hose. They will swim in pools, ponds, lakes and rivers but I will get the "I know where you sleep" look if I grab the hose....what gives? (Mind you...they all know how to grab the hose perfectly in their mouths while we are filling their pools and spray us)

I'm curious, too. Tug LOVES the hose; will drench everyone when he gets ahold of it, and will jump in and out of the stream of the nozzle. But a sprinkler? He gives me the "WTH" look and won't go near it.

My Chelsea LOVED the sprinkler!! Chewing it, pulling it, etc! We have one of the fan types, that goes back and forth. She would stand over it and let the water go back and forth underneath her! It was hilarious to watch! I still have some of them with her teeth marks on them. She would help me out by moving them all around the yard.

River loves hoses and sprinklers. If we're out on a walk and someone has a sprinkler on-forget it! She loves to run up to them, stick her head in it, and then gets the zoomies.

Shannon and Merlin enjoy the sprinkler. Shannon loves the hose. Merlin run's from it.

Glad I'm not alone! Maggie does this, and then proceeds to drag me all over the place with her!

My guys drink from sprinklers, and will attack the spray of water if sprayed by the hose - because being sprayed irritates them.

But they've never acted like the sprinkler was a toy.

All of mine love the sprinkler. They have a great time playing in it. THe downside of that is when I put the sprinkler in the vegetable garden. YIKES! Talk about the "downtrodden"......:uhoh2:

Kona loves to play with my sprinklers! She drinks and bites at the water streaming out until the sprinkler isn't getting my intended targets. She thinks it a toy out there just for her.....

Sully also loves the sprinkler!! Especially on walkies, he will run right into them and put his face in it and dance all around it. When we put one out back for him he will run through it then lie under it to get the constant spray of it on him.
