Hi all,
I love this forum! While Paul and I do not have a Newfie yet we plan on it in the near future. For the last few years we have been monitoring blogs and sites all related to Newfs. Our dearest Dorothy (Australian Shep X) crossed the bridge in May at the grand age of 16. Kodiak (Australian Sheep X) is nearing that age and is winding up his stay with us. I have written to various breeders and visited a breeder as well. I keep in touch with the breeder that we like the best and have followed her "children" on-line as they move to loving homes among a few of you here! I wanted to get my intro done so that I could start posting without anyone wondering "why is she here?"!:grrr: My final step was joining Newf.net so that I could get the word from owners! Following Nanook and Pooka has been the most enjoyable experience over the past year. Everyone's trials and tribulations make wonderful reading and at times is heart breaking. I hope to meet everyone over time and to be able to learn and share for a lifetime. I know Paul feels the same way.

Kind regards,
Melissa :)

Welcome! Charlie is my first Newf, and it has been a crazy first year and a bit for us. Finding NewfNet was a big help!

A great big :kgo_057: from Illinois!!! Just remember Newfs are like potato chips, it's hard to have just one.

Welcome to Newf Net! This is THE place to be, if you love these big, hairy, slobber-chopped characters...and they are definitely characters. Most "human" dogs I've ever been lucky enough to share space with.

Side note: The Newf Net clock is off by about 4 hours again, and is causing delays in posting. It says I posted at 4:28 am, and it's actually 8:15am.

 Welcome Melissa, glad to see you here. We got our first Newf, Abbey, 11/02/07 and our second, Zeke, 01/04/08. Needless to say, we are very busy trying to keep up with our Puppies. They have 2 totally different personalities and yet are both quite precious to us. I'm so happy for you and your family deciding on a Newfoundland. Just be prepared for LOTS of BIG, WET, NEWFIE KISSES. :hugs:

Welcome! Nessa's blog is the best! Wally's not a newf, but his blog wins my second best. I like to think my pup's blog is somewhere in the very next tier down :)
