Ideal Newf Location

If you could live anywhere in the world, and your decision was purely Newf-centered, where would you live?

Which factors would be indicators for you? (Training groups are one weighty item on my list ...)

Newfy based??? Somewhere in BC Canada....it's very temperate there weather wise and quite beautiful. I used to live there as a kid and never forgot the majestic views, the mountains, lakes, rivers and oceans.
Now....if I didn't have the dogs....somewhere tropical for me.

If you come, you should be prepared to stay!! Aqua Kennels (Flatrock, Newfoundland) owner Monica Dominguez came here for a visit with her Newfoundland Dog. She never left!

Well, I have lived in England, Ireland, Newfoundland and here and I think I would chose here on Vancouver Island, BC as mostly the climate is mild (except this last year!!). Training facilities for the dogs, lots of water, lakes and ocean, mountains, forests etc.

I would definately live in New England or Montana. A nice home, on a lake, in the mountains has always been my dream. I would love for my newfs to have access to water whenever. Here, I live on an Long ISLAND and dog's are welcome in very few places.

Right here in Germany! I'd get me a house in the middle of some mountains, with a creek and a pond and be in heaven. Okay, that or somewhere in the Northwest of the U.S., Idaho, Montana, Wyomming, Washington State...but it would have to be on a mountain somewhere.

I'd live in the mountains of North Carolina on a farm with plenty of water. Preferably above 4000 feet altitude so that its nice and cool in the summer. A certain part of the NC mountains that I know AVERAGES in the HIGH 60s in July!!!!

By the way, I just found out that fleas can't live at altitudes greater than 5000 feet! Another reason to live in the mountains!

Right here on the rock bound coast of Maine, within sight of Acadia National park. Summers are cool, winters are cold by most peoples standards, but Hancock loves it. The snow is beginning to melt and many are talking about shovelling / snow blowing their gardens so the strengthening sun can thaw the ground and people can plant their peas.

There are three steps to the back deck. This winter they were totally buried, the glacier is slowly retreating and the top step is now visible. Snow on deck still thigh deep.

Except for our fire season and no snow it is perfect here. Dogs are allowed everywhere except in shops and motels/hotels..............But there are so many parks, rivers, beaches where they are allowed off leash............That is heaven. And we live only 60 miles from the nearest snow, 1.5miles from a huge river and 20miles from a huge lake.
We are on acreage...................the only thing missing is other newfs and newf mad people, Ronnie

Somewhere were the Temperature is no higher than 72 degrees, no colder than 45 degrees, only lightly rains, mostly sunshiny, on 10 acres of land (fenced) with a pond for newf swimmin, and each dog has their own room.

I can snow twice a year for the Newfies playtime, but must disappear within 24 hours with no mud or standing water.
