Hunter got a haircut last week and he looks so cute...like a little lamb.:heart:
Here he is waiting for his chicken snacks..

I have to hold a piece of chicken to get him to look at the camera

I love this next one..It's like he' saying.." WHEN am I going to get to eat the damn chicken???"

Such a funny sit :)

My pretty boy:heart::kiss::kiss::kiss:

Did you cut his hair yourself or did you have him groomed? I want ours to get a cut like this when it gets closer to summer so that they will be cooler and I was wondering what it's called so I don't bring home two bald newfs.

I normally do groom my dogs myself..but not extreme trimming like this. He went to a groomer. I wouldn't recommend clipping young dogs down like this. It tends to change the texture of the coat...and is harder to keep up because the undercoat tends to grow in faster than the guard hairs...so the hair mats easier. Hunter is 9 and no longer enjoys being brushed..not sure why..but it is easier on him to just have him trimmed..he was only there 2 1/2 hrs. If i had to brush him totally out...and then bathe and dry it would have taken much longer. He needed a bath..and at this stage of the game..I want to do what is the least stressful for him.

Aww, he looks adorable!! I used to cut Chance's hair like this when he was older, much more comfortable for him. I love the picture where he's using the cabinet as a "butt stop"! Chance used to do that with the stove, so he wouldn't slide on the wood floor.

it is quite amazing how a lot of older newfies do not like being groomed. My zacky was the same, he loved his haircuts, e did them with our horse clippers, like we do the bellies in summer for all of ours now. He looks really cute :) Ronnie

How did I miss these pictures of the HUNKA MONKA! He's just made my night! Give him a great big kiss on that nose of his and a lovely embrace from his Auntie Dawn! (I am so in love with him, he must be related!)

I really like that haircut. I will do that to my guy someday when he gets older too. I heard it's alot easier and faster with a sheep shears, but they're more dangerous for nicking. I thought of purchasing one to do the path through the belly, but I'm too scared I'd nick him. My regular clippers won't go through it.
