Oh, I am so sorry to hear too! After all you went thru to save her from her other problem, how unbelievable that she now bloated. My prayers are with you and your family.

Just to let you know, on Saturday afternoon(3-27-04),we received the results of Hummel's cultures and biopsies. As it turns out it wasn't cancer after all. They had a real tough time with the culture, but, it turned out to be a fungus. So we are doubly crushed because this was something that could have been fixed. Dr. Hammer said It would have been a long hard road for her because, she was so down. Our vet told us that there were no guarantees that she would even have made it through it.

We are content with knowing that we did everything that we could. We will miss Hummel. But, we are not going to beat ourselves up with "WHAT IF?"

We want to thank everyone for all of the support that we received. We are overwhelmed by the number of replies that were posted. You have helped us through this very difficult time.
Thank You Very Much,
Ray & Sherri

I am so sorry to hear about Hummel. I know it was such a shock for you, since she seemed to be doing better. Please let us hear more about her, when you're ready.

There isn't a single reason for you to beat yourseves up...you did all you possibly could. There are things that are out of our control, even though we try our best.

She was happy in the end...that's so good to remember.
