I flagged the article.

They are probably just back yard bred labs and these people are trying to "get rid" of them by saying they are newfie mix. The sire/father was probably put on steroids for allergies from poor breeding and they are now using that to find homes for the pups. So sad for the pups and for the sire and dam. I hope they all find loving responsible forever homes.

Seriously steroids bring out the newfie in a lab - like saying steroids will bring out the wolf in my boston terrier.
