Huffing through nose. Help!

Hi all, hope someone can help identify this for me please, Noah has recently had his booster and KC about 4 weeks ago. The last few nights he's been making a huffing exhaling noise through his nose not very often but a few times an evening he's fine in himself and eating as usual but it's just a little odd, the only change I can think of is we just had the outside of the house painted and I was wondering if he could be sensitive to the paint smell? He has hydrotherapy on Saturday so will get him checked over. Any help appreciated

Ahhh! It's so typical, haven't been away in forever booked a last min holiday a month ago have everything in place including KC vaccine and now he has a mild form :( he's going to kennels on Sunday :( I will take him to the vets today, for a checkover, will kennels still take him?

For my kennel I require all vaccines to be given at least 7 days in advance especially KC. Usually if they are going to get KC from the vaccine they will within 7 days. If he were coming to my kennel I would not allow it unless he has been on antibiotics for at least 72 hours with no fever or symptoms - I do this for any sickness a dog may have. I would also talk to the vet before allowing him to board with me. When we first started our kennel we had a dog get vaccines and come in for boarding the next day. The dog got KC and I had to end up closing for a week to get rid of the virus.

You said it has been 4 weeks. Did you vet's vaccine require a booster? Some forms of the vaccine require a booster in 3-4 weeks. But most of the vaccines do not require a booster. Just

On another note the KC vaccine does not cover all the strains of KC. If a dogs does get KC the duration will be shorter and the dog will not get as sick. Also once a dog has a strain of KC he will never get that particular one again. Dog can get KC even if they have the vaccine. If he is only snorting with no coughing or discharge from the nose I think he has something other than KC. I suggest a vet visit to be sure. I won't take any sick dog into my kennel.

Hi thanks for that yes he had his booster also, it was the 1st of November he had it, I'm going to take him in the morning and see what they say, thanks for the advice x

Any chance he could have gotten a snoot full of yard chemicals like weed killer or fertilizer. That happen to Snuffles a time or two. I know this is the time of year people treat yards.

Hi just got back from the vets, basically he's fine the only thing she can find is that his throat is slightly sensitive, which could be allergy or a slight infection but he doesn't need antibiotics, she did however ask me to record what he's doing and go back in the morning and show her so she can see. I hate the not knowing! I'm not sure about the weed killer but the house has been painted its the only thing I can think of :/ stress!
