Do you restrict your girls at all after mating / during pregnancy ? ie no stairs ( I know stairs are not recomended for Newfs any how ) limited excitement etc.
I didnt realise the CHV wasnt available in the States - you guys usually have stuff on offer before us so I just presumed!
I do restrict my girls a bit after breeding. I keep them quiet for several days and discontinue shows, dog parks, etc.

I do the same. I discontinue shows, dog parks, working activities. When Brooke was bred I discontinued shows and working activities when she went in season. Once knew she was pregnant she was on an exercise schedule that was just regular walks around the neighborhood. She went back into her regular schedule after litter left. Brooke was bred later too, around day 19.
