Hi from CA! New Mom

Hi, I'd like to introduce myself again after a false start last June. After searching for over a year I've brought home a new rescue. A beautiful Newfie boy. I've been in the threads already getting some help and advice already, so thanks! We still can't decide on a name tho... :( lol, he's a doozy. After a nice bath tonite I just wanted to get a picture of this beautiful fluff....75 frames later I'm worn out trying to get him still enough, ha ha. And I haven't figured out how to post the pics yet but I'm trying! Anyway, this is my second Newf, I lost my last girl in 2011. I've also had a St. Bernard X, an Irish Wolfhound, and a Great Dane. I'm sure a therapist would have a field day with my big dog issues ;)
I can't tell you how happy i was to find this wonderful Newf community. You all sound like old friends that live right down the street from each other. It's really heart warming. I hope that I can be worthy of joining in. There certainly aren't any Newfs around here, although its beautiful snow country here in Lake Tahoe. So anyway, I'm glad to have found you!

Congratulations on your new newfie boy! Can't wait to see him.....If you have a facebook account you can right click on a photo and choose copy and then paste it in a message here on newf net. I just learned that trick and it's a very easy way to get photos on here.

Welcome aboard.... Truckee is my home town....I now live in Sacramento and do fostering for the Newf Rescue group here in Northern California.

Hey Guys! Thanks for all the warm welcomes! And that Facebook tip, great! Macs have no right click but I think I can try it anyway, thanks. And some of you are in CA! Wonderful! Everyone is calling my boy Willie (yes, for the obvious reason) because we haven't had a boy for so long. I'm afraid it will stick if I don't get on it!! My son's Lab/Golden's name is Bella so that nixed my bid for Belvedere! I've taken a hundred pics, none of them seem up to par for Newf Net! Honestly, all your pics look so professional. Yup, I can't wait to get that beauty shot with Lake Tahoe in the background. I got a funny one today with him standing under Bella's stomach. Don't get comfortable! I'm gonna see if I can load it to FB and get it onto NN now. Thanks again guys, I'm so happy to be here ! Su and...not Willy

LOL...willy...sounds cute though doesn't it? Sometimes those names are the best ones! You could call him Wills...my dogs have so many variations of the same name, Jake, Jakester, Jakie Poo Poo (my husbands favorite). You will find the right one! Can't wait to see pics. I need to get some loaded too...

Hi Su,

Welcome to Newf Net and congratulations on your new addition. I currently have a Newf (named Sue), a Saint (Norm) and a Wolfhound (Rupert)... and I use to have a Dane (Elliott)... all wonderful breeds.

The right name will come to you. No one one here has a Newf called "Nameless"...yet. :lol: We struggled with names for our first Newf for so long and tried so hard and then one day Dave just popped out with Angus! and so he was.

Welcome from Newf York!! I can relate with the name issues, my husband went through the entire Yankee's roster before I agreed to something (yes, he is a HUGE Yankee fan). But since we settled on "Cano" (after Robinson Cano) I started calling him Cano-no because he was always getting into trouble and now more often than not we just call him "No-no" because thats what my 4 year old calls him! But I can't wait to see pictures and hear his official name ! :)
