I just came home to find that the FED EX guy dropped a shipment of beer brewing supples in my back yard. Of course, my dog thought it was for her. Looks like she ate a good amount of it. Does anyone know if there will be problems because of this my husband says no, I think she is acting like she drank a few beers.................. any suggestions will be helpful!

I know that some dogs are sensitive to the hops in beer, and dogs can easily succumb to alcohol poisoning.... but not sure about the raw ingredients...
I would say this is a call the vet/emergency vet/ poison control and ask type situation.

Don't the ingredients ferment? Or do they need sugar to do that? Because fermenting in her belly would be bad. I don't know much, but I would call the vet tonight and then tomorrow the delivery company and inform them not to put stuff back there.

Honestly, I would just call the vet and see what he says. He may just want her to vomit...or not. I thought they had to vomit within 30 min, but someone told me you had a bigger window than that.
Good Luck, I hope she feels Ok :)

any word? I am sure she will be fine, we had a little bit of a similiar "incident" with some infused strawberries with Claire awhile back and she was totally fine, the vet said not to worry.

I am so sorry, I never thought you would all worry so much! Thank you for all your prayers. Both of my girls are just fine. We went through a day or so of diarrhea, and loose stools, but after that all was well. They not only ate the malt, but also the barley. The only thing they didn't touch was the hops, which is a good thing because the hops would have been poison to them.
I have to say no one was out there to help. Not meaning anyone on here, but when I called poison control they would not give me any information for pets. They sent me to the poison control for pets, and they would not give any information unless you paid them. I think it was $60.00 but not sure. If the dogs were acting sick or strange by that time I would have paid but they were both acting normal, you figure this was a good hour or so after they ate it. My son helped me research malt on line (before i knew about the barley), and it seems that back in the day they used it as a mild sleep aid. But never found anything bad about it.
Once again Thank you all for all of your concern.
hugs and kisses to all
