Hafkas-Drying Poncho for Dogs?

Has anyone ever heard of this product?

A friend has a very large Leonberberger and says these works great for after a bath or swim or coming in from the rain...she says her very large male Leo takes 20 minutes wearing this to be almost perfectly dry!!

Any thoughts or experiences with this product....

No, I definitely have to agree with you on that!! I also think the bag style could possibly cause an injury if they try to be mobile while wearing it. I was more curious about the poncho style.

If it works as well in practice as it does in theory, I will be the first in line for this product! It's been sopping wet in Illinois for a month now. I hate spring. Yes, I'll say it, I hate it! It's a mess out here! I wipe up muddy paw prints all over my house 5 times a day now!

I digress, I'll wait until someone on this board tries it and recommends it...anyone want to be the first pioneer of Newfie ponchos?!

I was thinking to get one and use it at the door on rainy and snowy days to slip on them and then do a quick all over rub. And then to also use it immediately after the bath when they do their shake...I usually try to drape a towel over them at that time but it always fall off within seconds!!

The poncho looks possibly worthwhile. I would have to be convinced to spend 60.00 on it though. Hannah and Sophie could probably use the large size...didn't see any dimensions on the site.

the poncho looks like something my dogs would like. i drape towels on them when they come in from the rain/snow and after a rubdown they wear them like racehorses.

I believe the sizing is as follows:

Large: Measurement of Neck- 20-25" and Floor to Neck- 31"
XLarge: Neck- 25-30" and Floor to Neck- up to 35"

However, I saw a picture of a male Leonberger wearing an XLarge one and this boy is 33" tall and it was dragging to the ground! I was thinking of ordering a large one to avoid it dragging on the ground.

It says it's a microfiber material. I'm intrigued.

I would love to know if this really works, too. I have a ton of towels by the patio doors for drying the dogs. All of mine like to stand by the door and get toweled off when they come in, so I don't think they would have a problem with the poncho.
