Growing Pains?

Does anyone know if this is possible? Jackson went out for a while in the back yard and I was in the driveway putting a carseat in the truck while he was out. he never yelped or cried or let me know something was wrong but when he came in the house with me he was limping. I don't think anything happened but I am wondering if he has growing pains. Since this happened this morning he is limping a bit less but it still seems to be bothering him. Any thoughts?:confused:

It could be.......or he could have stepped in a hole, on a rock, turned a corner too fast, etc. Any of the above might cause a limp for a day or so.

Watch him for a couple of days and if it doesn't resolve itself, take him to the Vet.

Abbey is very concerned for Mr. Jackson. She says to give him lots and lots of treats and let him sleep on your bed for a few years. ( I swear that's what she said ) :whistling: Hope everything is back to normal real soon Jackson. :D

Jackson; Trust me, I'm older so I know what I'm talking about.:icon_cool: You need to milk this for all it's worth. :icon_bb: Your Mom apparently wants to take good care of you, so I would "Limp" around for a couple of more days. Limping should increase around the kitchen during food preperation, and near the Treat Jar. Also you should limp around the bed so she will want you to lay on something soft. Like I said trust me, it works!!:D

Your NN friend;

Ricky (aka Mr. Smooch:kiss:) the Landseer (Officially a Big Boy now)

Hope he's OK. Like everyone else said, if it continues take him to the Vet.

thanks for all the good advice. it seems that Jackson probably sprained it i brought him out to go to the bathroom last night and where it is warm her for the past few days the snow is still deep but soft. he fell through and caught his paw and kind of bent it. or so it appears. he is limping still but seems to be managing a bit better. if not better by tomorrow i will bring him to his vet. I did call being the neurotic mother that i am and let them know what was going on just to have a reference point.

When it comes to our pups we are all neurotic, no matter the experiences we have had.
I would definatly bring him in, and, if it is that big a twist i would keep him on leash and excersise him lightly with just walking.
Hopefully it is not serious.
We have experienced a broken toe here on lainey, a sprained toe on sydney, and those are the worst becouse the limp for a broken toe can last over a year, on and off thru the year, so the vet might want to be sure to check the toes for a hairline fracture, by xray.
