grooming in NJ

I haven't posted in some time and I don't know if anyone else is in NJ-southern NJ-but I am having a big problem finding a groomer for my Newfs. I recently brought my female in and I usually have her trimmed for the summer. When I picked her up she was completely shaved-she looks like a black sheep. I don't have the facilities or I'd groom her myself. If anyone uses a groomer in NJ please let me know.

Gosh there seems to be a lot of shaving going on with groomers lately! You'd think they'd know that newfies aren't suppose to be shaved.

I'm in NJ, but I groom my own newfie. I'm not great at it, but it's fun and I love the bonding time with Eloise!

Sorry to hear that about your newf! Unfortunately some groomers do what is easier for them and not what is right for the dog. It sounds like a good time to get yourself Jeannie's grooming video and some tools and try it yourself. You don't need a lot of room as you can do on-the-spot trims or brushing while your newf is just sitting in your home. If you read some old posts here there are a lot of good ideas and links for tools/dryers etc. Good luck!

Where could I get this video? We have always trimmed her ourselves (and know how to), but good tricks are always nice to know.
