Good Girl....So Sad

Someone posted this on another forum. I thought I'd pass along the link. Hearbreaking. This girl is an 8.5 yr old Newf, whose owners no longer have time for her

OMG... that is so awful.... what is wrong with people these days. Feeling the way I do about my Newfs, all newfs, and all dogs for that matter.... it's so very difficult to imagine anyone disposing of their dogs this way. They never even deserved to have a Newf in their lives.....

I checked the NCA rescue page, and couldn't figure out who covers Iowa. So, I've sent the link to Mary Price, NCA Rescue Chair.

Poor baby girl!!!!

Oh Annie, I am so glad you contacted someone! Just the fact that she was an outdoor girl makes me so angry She just looks so sweet. If I won a lottery, I swear, I would buy tons of land and rescue all the Newfs I could.

I was wrong about Iowa... it's South Dakota....and I can read! How I thought it was Iowa, I'll never know. Anyway, Roscoe has forwarded a message I sent him to the person who handles Rescue in South Dakota...

I am new here and many of you have probably read my painful thread. This hurts me to know that someone has a good dog but doesn't want it where as we want one but end up with a dog we can't have.

I wonder what made these people decide after 8 and a half years that they no longer have the time for her? Did she start have medical conditions? I alos didn't get the idea that she was left outside the whole time but rather that they have a fenced in yard where she was free to play.

I do hope things work out well for her.

Update!

Just heard from Mary Price that they have been working on this case, and that a foster home is lined up, and they are in the process of arranging transportation... so it looks like this sweetie is going to be ok!

Thank Heaven! Rescue saves the day once again!!! These stories bounce me from sorrow

to rage and then back and forth again. I'm with Karen K - wouldn't it be wonderful to win the lottery, buy a bunch of land, and fill it with newfies that need love???

Thanks for the update.

So glad to hear Rescue came to Good Girls rescue and that she'll be going to a foster home! When are people going to learn that newfs are not disposeables?

I take no credit for this... NCA Rescue was already on the job when I notified them! They are the ones who deserve a pat on the back....
