Good Day For Rescue

Today one of the days when we realize that what we do really counts.

For me personally.. A home visit yesterday resulting in a joyful adoption today.

But my part was the miniscule piece.

I am lucky to be part of an amazing group of people who not only represent our beloved Newfs.. but all breed rescue as well.. Whatever small part any of us plays.. a lot of it came together today !!!! :dance01:

I bow down to everyone who did the heavy lifting..

And I know one family tonight who are sharing and bonding with their new baby girl.. That makes me pretty happy. :sunflower:

It is such a blessing to be part of happy endings. You're an amazing person and I'm sure a blessing to those who are part of your life. Happy feeling here to share with yours. :)

It's incredible that you get to be a part of this! Yet another reason to get involved with breed clubs and rescue groups.

I considered rescuing, but one of the reasons we decided against it was that I worried we wouldn't pass a home inspection because our yard is only partially fenced in. What do you look for in home inspections ?

It's actually pretty important to have a secure yard if considering fostering. Many of our rescues understandably have issues and we need to make sure they are safely secure. There are many other ways to be involved with Rescue though. Volunteers who do not foster still do home visits.. help with transports.. a myriad of tasks and everyone brings different expertise to the table and the team.
