Friend wants a puppy

When I moved here almost 2 yrs ago one of the first people I met was a gal who just lost her newf. She and her husband have 25 yrs of experience with Newfs and she hates that I trim mine so you know you'd like her She wants a pet puppy from a reputable breeder and she has no intention of breeding or showing. She wants to be sure she can train it to be gentle with her grandkids. She's willing to fly anywhere in the US or Canada and fully understands she will be grilled to be sure she's qualified to care for one of your babies. She owns her office so her pup comes to work with her. Everyone who works for her adored the last newf. Anyone know anyone with puppies available or soon to be available? If you PM me the info I'll have her contact the breeder. Thanks.

Oh, and she has 2 fenced acres and 100 acres with a creek beyond that. I think a newf would be pretty happy there - a doting mama and a beautiful environment. (In Oregon a creek can be a few dozen feet wide and flow all year - I don't know anything about the creek on their land, though)

This is the NCA Breeder List. At the bottom there's a phone number and an email address for the "breeder referral hotline". They can tell her who has puppies, and where...and will tell the breeder to expect contact from the person who is interested:

Definitely contact Naomi through the NCA! She's how I found my puppy, though indirectly. She sent me a list of people who had puppies or were expecting, I browsed through them, contacted people I was interested in, and they referred me to a few other breeders and bada bing bada boom I found Uschi! She is very nice and very helpful

Thanks, everybody! I didn't know about the hotline - I sent her to the NCA site and it was a bit overwhelming for her. The hotline will make it much easier. Meg, cmon down! Oregon is a great place to live!
