Floods

[Sun Valley]

I hope everyone on the East Coast is safe from all of the flooding. My area, along with many others, have been hit pretty hard. We are high and dry, thankfully, but I know many that aren't. I have been in touch with some people on FB, but I hope everyone else is okay?

They actually had to cancel the 2nd day of school today because of so much flooding. We are fine but we were quite limited as to where we could travel today. Thank goodness the woman I work with is on the other side of the river from me so she could actually get to the dogs I needed to visit. Can you believe a snow day wasted on the 2nd day of school!!

Our phones are out, the bridge is gone and many many roads are damaged. People have been evacuated. All are safe at the moment. Please pray that we don't get any more rain. 10 " in 2 days is plenty.

HI! Checking in to say we are fine also. We are in Harrisburg, but not directly in the city. I posted in the other forum also. Praying that everyone stays safe. Schools and business are closed again today. Most people are under a boil water advisory because there are many sewage plants closed and under water. I have never seen anything like this before...all the destruction and water!

We are safe here also... but no way out of our driveway. Road at the bottom is closed and severely underwater in both directions. Guess there is a reason they named it RIVER Road. sigh. The town to the right is underwater.... all the stores, homes, bank, etc. River cresting now up here and its all going to head south toward Sunbury & Harrisburg now, I guess.

I read an article, well I tried to read an article, about the Hershey Zoo. I started crying and couldn't finish it. Prayers the water receeds quickly and there's no more rain.

Praying for everyone who's in the path of flooding. We went through it here in the spring and it is as devastating as any other natural disaster. Stay safe!

I've been praying non-stop for all the people/animals involved in both these floods and the fires out west, it's truly heart wrenching.

My heating system is under water but I can deal with that. I'm so sorry to hear of those suffering due to this. I hope everyone who is safe, stays that way, and those in trouble, get relief and returned to things as they were before this. Prayers going out to everyone touched by this. Hoping for a nice,, dry weekend!

I am angry about the loss of the animals at the Hershey Zoo. When the weather channels warn you flash flooding will occur, shouldn't you prepare?
