I'm on facebook too! Name is Kathy Van Wie, picture of me and Shelby sitting on a big rock in Lake Michigan. I am friends with some of you, the rest, come find me!!! :wave:

Jeannie, I thought the same thing as you. Why do FB when I'm on NN, Newf-L and Newf Tech? Because it is different for all the reasons previously stated, and now I'm addicted, yeah.. like I need something else to be addicted to? :crazy:

Plus, I have family and other Non Newf friends that live across the country that I can stay in contact with.

I have a question. What use is Facebook? Isn't it similar to myspace? Isn't it a place to keep in touch with others. Don't we do that on NN? What is the advantages of being on facebook compared to NN

FB has an iPhone app :D our bulletin board software doesn't yet (I checked their site).

Ok, I understand that to be - Share posts only to your profile, then what is Profile supposed to do and why doesn't it seem to do anything? Lord I'm confused AGAIN- HA!

Even if it is something that you don't want to use very often, it is worth it's weight in gold for keeping in touch.

A few examples: I am able to visit with my sister's kids who live in D.C. I feel more connected to them than ever.

My other sister's boys are on there too & I can check in with them too.

We recently had a reunion with my college roomates and we spent a few days together hanging out, for some catching up & reliving old times. All brought about by facebook!

And finally. Through all of my new "Newf" friends on facebook, I have Rosie. I most likely would never have found her if not for facebook.

(I also find it easier to post pictures on fb)
