Dogs who like to dress up?

Do any of your dogs like wearing clothes/harnesses?

A good friend of mine just adopted a 3-month-old Newfie/St. Bernard X (from an "accidental" back yard breeding). His name is Toby, and he looks like a (pouch cove) landseer, black with white patches.

My friend wants to do draft stuff, just for fun, so she's getting Toby used to wearing a harness. He LOVES it. He prances around like he is something else. He did the same thing when she put a puppy bandana on him. Toby has quite the personality. He is too cute, and the little stinker knows it.

Just wondering, is this a Newfie thing, a St. Bernard thing, or is Toby just weird?

My vote's for Toby ...

My daughter puts bandannas and ties little capes on the newfs but usually they dont pay attention to it or they pull them off.

They never act like they particularly like it
I think mine are the weird ones

Years ago, we had a cocker that loved wearing new collars... we'd make over him like crazy, and he'd wiggle and wag his stubby little tail like crazy.

Our newfs are not really thrilled when we put on their harnesses. Your friend is wise to do so at an early age!!!! He sounds like a character!!!!

The high school here is having a Black Fly Festival this weekend sponsored by a bug repellant company from northern New Hampshire. They are having a parade mid-day on Saturday. I was thinking I might put some wings on Mudji and put him in the parade as the world's largest black fly.... I don't think he'd like it, but it would be funny..

Great picture of Hogan (boagie says hubba hubba).
This weekend we had Boagie and Baby's Bday party. They had party hats. Baby hated hers but Boagie knew she was the the Birthday girl.
The best part was when a kid rode by on his bike and Boagie and our Red dobie Max, (who also liked the hat) went tearing down into the yard protecting their domane with farm animal party hats on

I was laughing so hard I could not keep the camera focussed!!!

That photo of Hogan in the tux is so cute.

Rory likes it when she is wet and we bring her in and towel her off, and then leave the towel draped over her like a horse blanket...She prances around and makes a big deal out of it.
