doggie day care/boarding kennels

Just wondering if anyone here has experience working at a boarding kennel. Any thoughts about this kind of job? Positives, negatives? ...

I've submitted an application to work for one that recently opened in my area. It is a franchise and seems to have a corporate structure supporting the franchisees.

I spent nearly 30 years working at a desk in an office doing very close work (editing and proofreading) and am so done with that! (Although, I still do it freelance. PM me if you have a project!) After a few years of doing the Mr. Mom thing, I'm ready to get back to work!

I'm hopeful that working with dogs might prove to be more fun and rewarding! ....

Well, no formal experience but when you have 13 it passes for one, minus the "official" paperwork. As long as management is sensible I would think it would be great when you enjoy lots of dogs (cats too I presume). One thing about it, no slave labor so you can always leave if you don't it or the management.
