Difficulty finding Orijen in stock

We are thinking of changing over to Orijen 6fish, however we are finding it difficult to find a store that has an available supply . The local store that usually carries it says they are having problems getting it themselves, perhaps a distribution problem. I found other stores that carry it and even 2 delivery companies but they are all out. One store said they hope to have it by Thursday.

Is anyone else having problems finding Orijen in stock or is this perhaps a regional problem to the US or even MN?? Or a problem originating at Orijen??

I don't want to start a new food and than find it hard to find in stock. I'm hoping this is just a temporary issue and will be resolved shortly.

Yes, the only pet store that sells Orijen is almost out of 6 fish and not sure of the next delivery. I bought the last 3 bags.

Thanks, checked them out and will keep them in mind. They do have it in stock, but I was hoping to find it locally and avoid the $18 in shipping charges.

GRRR, Anyone else having Orijen 6 Fish Supply Problems?

I recently sent another email to the fellow who called me. His reply

"It is true that ORIJEN has recently been having difficulty supplying their distributors with product. Champion Pet Foods (the makers of ORIJEN and ACANA) was not prepared for the growth they've been seeing during this time of economic recession, and it is for this reason their supply chain has been pushed a little too far. They've heard our complaints and are making efforts to rectify the situation. The only thing I can say is that the mistakes Champion has made are acting as a teaching tool. They are working to rectify the situation and are doing a good job of it."

woodbury has a store that supposidly stocks it, chuck and dons should have it as well. The one in cottage grove will order it for you, I know they dont have the 30 in stock usually...

They are very helpful and ship (but free only to West Metro). Right now there's a $3 off coupon on their website for the 30 pound bag. I do not know if they stock the large bags, but I was there today and definitely saw small bags. I feed Canidae, River seems to do really well on that. I would call them to check what they've got. They sell only holistic/natural foods and treats, offer training, have good toys, and always offer to carry the food to my car (I always refuse Say hi to the African Grey named Dusty!! Good luck

We plan to get it at Chuck and Don's but when we visited them this past weekend they checked all stores in MN and all stores were out of the larger bags and not sure when they should get any in.

It's a Pet's Life in Plymouth is out now too. They are suppossed to be getting in a new shipment tommorrow. I had to get a bag of Acana to hold me over last week. Dumb and Dumber don't seem to mind though.

We went to Chuck and Don's in Lakeville today and they had gotten it in yesterday. YEAH So we bought a 30LB bag of the 6 fish. She still has some of her other food remaining so we will work on that for a little while before we switch over. They also shared with us a loyalty program, buy 12 bags and get the 13th free, free is good.

Yep...11 bags and the 12th is free. Chuck and Don's is great! As is 'It's a Pets Life'. With C&D's, fill out the paperwork and every quarter when they send out their flyer you get a gift certificate for the store for a % of what you have spent over the last three months. Mine have added up to quit a few bags of Bully Sticks. :whistling:
