Corydalis 5

A while back in another thread someone posted about this herb and how it helps with pain simular to rimadyl.

I bought 2 bottles to try for Panda (who is 11 years old). She started hopping around even running a few steps. I had my doubts that this really helped her. I contributed the change to fall with the heat of summer leaving. All the newfs were more active.

About 2 weeks ago I ran out. I decided not to purchase anymore and see how the derramax alone works for the winter. Within a day or two Panda was having a hard time standing, limping when she walked, having a very hard time getting around. Even a few customers noticed her stiffness. So I sent off and bought a bunch more. I mean a bunch more

She has been on them again now for 2 days. This morning she is hopping and running a few steps. She is getting up easier and is more alert. She even greeted customers again this morning :D

I give her only 2 or 3 per day along with 1/2 tablet of Derramax. A bottle of 100 is only $16. I highly recommend this for anyone whose dog has joint problems. Here is the website

I tried it for AJ, but it did nothing for him. I guess it might work for some conditons and not others, but it was quite inexpensive.

Thanks for running that 'to ground'. I will take the info..into the blood bank..and ask about the 'view from there'. I may well..given HBs lifestyle out here..need some versions of pain meds. Thanks to all for the heads-up.

Don't give up on Corydalis if it did not work especially if you were using it as a capsule or tablet. But use this stuff wisely and maybe switch with something else off and on. It's incredibly powerful and even I only use it in the most serious of cases for a very short period of time administered in small doses.

Annie awesome link!!

Here's another:

Corydalis yanhusuo is the correct botanical name.
So it will of course work for some and not other.

The problem with using tablets, you may not be getting the amount needed.

If you want to try and it didn't work...try to find a reputable business selling Corydalis Tincture. Then you know exactly what you are getting. But you better know what you are doing too!!

Here's a very small article on its use in oseoarthritis:

No idea who the folks are, but the important idea...they source their information and you can go from there.

I also give it to Sonny and Lana. Sonny is 11-1/2 and very weak in his rearend. I ran out and had to order more myself and noticed a difference in Sonny. I really haven't had to give Sonny anything besides that (also have Previcox when needed) and glucosamine supplement. It seems to cut down on use of methocarbamol that Lana takes.

What is the recommended amount of tabs/caps to be given a 150# lb. furball?

I have used other Seven Forest products and they have done fine for my berner girl. I use Drynaria for her. And you would never know she has bone spurs in both elbows.
