We need a ramp for Violet ... When she was much smaller we had one but she did not like it and I think it was too narrow for her widening rear ;) any catalogs or brands people recommend ?
Thanks

Personally, I prefer steps. I have the steps from: Petloader.com

They are very sturdy and portable. Mine tend to be a little heavier, because they are the wider version of the 4 steps. But, Sam has gotten used to it, and with bribery of hot dog pieces, he gets in with no probs. On going training, as he has problems with steps anyway, so I'll continue the bribery until he knows the drill perfectly.

I had a ramp before with my late Dex, that was too wobbly. He wanted NO part of it.

After seeing Dawn's steps we went out and made the same ones. Elvis took right to them, but I think we may need to add a third step. Ours seem shorter for some reason.

I'm in your position as well. I just bought a 2013 Honda Pilot and while my 160 lb male is pretty agile getting into the cargo area, he slightly hesitates before jumping out. I allowed this once just to see where we stood. This told me he needs help getting out. I did a search here, but it seemed each product had a slight drawback. I then came across this and I was thinking it was what I needed because you don't have to store it, unload it, or put it away. I do hope others chime in because I just discovered it last night and don't want to purchase unless I'm sure. It wouldn't be fun returning something this heavy.

Here's an informal review of the step...

Moby travels is a lifted Jeep TJ (Wrangler) and we have used the Petstep ramp (6 feet long) ever since we was too heavy to lift in or out of the Jeep. Works great and we have used it both in wet & dry situations. As mentioned the challenge with a ramp is where do to store it when you are traveling? For the Jeep I have laid the ramp on it's edge and secured it to the roll cage, best solution I could find.

We purchased ours at Costco on line, delivered to your door.

I forgot to mention a portion of the proceeds for the twistep go to Newf rescue. If I remember correctly, you can choose which region.

We use the XL telescoping ramp from Dogramps.com. We have an '11 Pilot, and we bungee it alongside the dogs in the cargo area. Fits perfectly, sturdy, wide, carpeted, has sides, and isn't that expensive.

I finally got the step for Chumley. I truly love it, because
I can get it out with one hand while holding the leash with the other. We went on a
forest hike today and I met a woman who had the older model for her German Shepherd.
She said she hit a ditch and bottomed out which bent the step. She called the company
and they replaced it free of charge. I just have to share the video.
