Camping Trip with the bubs

Took an overnight camping trip with the bubs after taking hubs to the ER for a sudden nose bleed that literally GUSHED while we were readying ourselves to go. Of course it was "nothing", but it was enough to make Dexter proud.

Emergency taken care of, we lit out the next morning with our new Newf mobile and trusty camper and spent a glorious day/night in Florida (about an hour from where we live). The dogs were able to get in the water and lie down for a bit enjoying the coldness.

There were a ton of other dogs in the campgrounds, including a gorgeous Belgian Shepherd.

Pics:

after our walk to a lookout point over the water - they're all looking at some folks walking ahead of us

Early foggy morning coffee

Mamma Sophie with IG Vino snoozing in the cool morning air

Late afternoon walk in the cool water

Needless to say, everyone including us were POOPED when we got home. Fresh air is GREAT!

Wonderful pictures! Still too cold here for me to get my head around the shorts and tees, but everyone looks like they had a dandy get-away.

Great pics, I especially like the one with Sophie and Vino snuggling on their little doggy cot (so sweet!) and the one with you and Bava in the water! Looks like a like of fun!

BTW: Dexter...love it!

Dexter is awesome :) But..hubs had way more blood than that on him, his shirt, shorts, legs, hand, on the floor of the camper, on the bumper, on the pantry door, etc etc.

The two newfie's slept in the tent we had butted up against the camper and every now and then, Bava would get up and come inside and shake the whole darn thing. Sophie stayed out on her cot all night. I think they like sleeping outside. Vino? not so much. He was upside down on his back like a person stretched out in between us. Vino is kinda like the little boy I never had :)

I shouldn't have looked at these pics.... I am SOOO jealous that you have warm enough weather to go camping. Now I want Spring to hurry up and arrive even more! Awesome pics! Looks like everyone had a blast. :)

We have actually had some warmer weather, but not too long ago, (I know, I know...but hey, I'm on the coast of Alabama!!!!) it was down in the high 20's/low low 30's. LOL

Beautiful!! Wish it was nice and cool in the part of Florida I live in-- it's upwards of 80 degrees. Looks like you and your babies had an amazing time! :)

It's an indoor/outdoor mat - HUGE 10 x 12. Can get wet/dirty whatever....it was a bit too long for our tent, but it worked WONDERFULLY as the ground we were on was white sand LOL We had enough sand on them/us by the time we got back from our walk to the beach, didn't need more.

You managed to make that look homey. I love the idea of camping, and it's fun. But I hate all of the work that goes with it to get ready and also the unpacking. Still looks like the dogs had a great time...and they are so well-behaved!

We're sweating it out (and panting and drooling) with you.. Hit a record high today of 81 for this date.

:eek:fftopic:
Great pictures.. I, too, love the one of them lounging together!

Envious here! Are you sure that's not snow I see on the ground behind your campsite??

Grumble. Six more freaking inches predicted for tonight..... :banghead:

All sand, we were on the coast of Pensacola :)

Temps were in the mid 70's. Down in the 50's at night. Slept with the windows/door open to the camper.
