Cue the striptease music now. In the fine New Orleans burlesque tradition, Obie's been working to dispense with coat for weeks now. Lord knows, I want some of that coat off him too.. we're having 80 degree days already and the a/c is cranking. So, I've been at him with the full arsenal.. blower, mck, rake, brush and comb. I was delighted by the new rake suggestion though, since the one I've had dates back to Kirby and the handle broke a few days ago. I'll happily add that to our arsenal. He needs a bath in a big way, but I am always hesitant to wet him down when all that undercoat is in motion for fear of a felted up, matty mess in some hidden, hard to access spot! :tequila:

My Mojo is blowing coat like crazy, Guess it was due to almost no sub-freezing temps this past winter. He grew a huge undercoat at my breeders (on a mountain) but now is blowing it all. <sigh>

We are hot in South Carolina. Loki has been getting in the pool several times a day now.Although many of you disagree, we have them clipped down using a#4 guide..it keeps there coats intact but lightens the load and is easier to rake out. I had 3 newfs last year for the coat blowout! all 3blew out differently and 2 were sisters. Lots of dog hair tumble weeds in my home:)!

My Dyson died :(...Very expensive to fix. Back to the Wertheim (Miele)

We blow twice a year...Lukey goes almost naked in Summer, no way I could show him. Katy keeps a heavy coat and Annabelle in the middle.

I use my blower all the time......the best
