Congratulations! Zoey is adorable and Gabriel loves her that is a plus.

She is a beautiful baby, I have always wanted to rescue a dane - I guess I have that with Ginger she is a great dane in a little boston terrier body. Enjoy her. :)

As someone said, maybe she was sent for a reason. Congratulations! Maybe there will be a new bond for Gabriel and give him the extra will to keep plugging along. I think many years ago, a fellow I knew had a elderly Malamute and then his daughter got a Akita puppy. I really think that puppy extended Malamute's life.

We may not think we're ready, but somehow the universe knows what's needed, so to speak. Welcome Zoey. Can't wait to hear your adventures as you grow, and Grow and GROW! LOL

I realized the other day that I never posted any updates on the danicus braticus after the initial pic. So here's a more recent one. She will be four months on Monday. She is very small. Also having some issues with her feet and legs that I am trying to fix with supplements and diet. Yes, I bought yet another puppy with health/ortho issues.:banghead:
Here's a new one of Hannah, too. Baby girl will be ten in July! She was having a somewhat bad hair day. Since Zoey came along they're all pretty much bad hair days as she does love to play and wrestle with the pup.

I MIGHT have some exciting news after the first of the year...If I dare.

Hopefully not. She has really flat feet and some "bowing" of the legs. It's an all too common ailment in the breed. Diet and exercise will usually remedy it. She was looking better, but now she's teething and we're back to square one again.

Zoey is adorable. It looks like she has HOD (Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy), all too common in Danes. If so, I'd be very careful about adding supplements to her diet. Sending lots of good juju for your pretty little lady.

She is eating 4Health brand adult food. It is 23% protein and low in phosphorus and calcium. She is getting MSM powder daily and an apple cider vinegar/honey tonic recommended by the "great dane lady". That's all the supplements so far..I get conflicting recommendations on Vit C...about half say give and half say don't give.
