Our local doggy self-wash just closed. I used this service for washing and drying and did the brushing/clipping at home. Can anyone recommend a bathtub for purchase that is large enough for newfs so I can wash them at home?

I love my Booster Bath! With my arthritis and back problems I would not be able to groom my own dogs without it. I got mine off ebay cheaper than what the pet places sell them for.
I worried that it wouldn't be sturdy enough for a newf...but it's not problem, even when fata.. er, I mean Gabe jumps up in it.

Thanks for the tips - I'll look into them. The DrFoster link says it is for up to 100 lbs? Both of mine are closer to 125.. hmm..

The scrub-a-dub bath thing looks like it doesn't really raise the dog up much if any. And that's what is important for me. I can't bend over or get on my knees to do the bath. The booster bath raises them up to a comfortable height.

My mentor has the best tub.. She went to a pluming supply and got a scratched returned tub for almost nothing... her husband put it up on cement blocks... she has stairs that lead to the tub and on the bottom of the tub she put teak decking premade slats... it's wonderful and sturdy.

my tub is a 91 gallon stock tank, we cut out the side and have a plexi glass door that hangs on the side where the sides were cut out. the drain hole works well for the plastic tubing that runs to the drain in the floor in the laundry room.
it has high enough sides to discourage any dog i groom including the very sassy shihtzu that think they are super dog!

I love our Booster Bath. We're going to get another one for our summer cottage too! It REALLY helps with the washing! :)

The booster bath is fantastic if you want something elevated and portable. My hubby got one for me for my birthday this past summer and it is the BEST present he has ever gotten me (yes, my life has certainly gone to the dogs). He also got the tropical shower for it, so I can hook it right up to my washer hookups and have hot and cold water. I can use it in the basement, or carry it outside to use. It is awesome. When my MIL saw it, she quickly bought one for herself as she bathes her Collie weekly and using the regular tub was getting old. I believe it accomdates dogs up to 175 pounds. Also, it has built in restraints to help keep the dog in the tub and you can walk the entire way around it, so you don't have to turn the dog around.

Can you tell I love it!?
