Back Pack

I'm just wondering if Murphy is old enought to wear a backpack. He'll be 1 (can't believe it) March 3rd. I wasn't planning on putting much weight in it, maybe a small water bottle on each side after he gets used to having it on. I'm trying to think of ways to wear off some energy. There's still so much snow in the backyard it's hard to play back there, and I just got my stiches out from falling on my face a couple weeks ago when I was out there with him. I'm a little nervous about playing back there until it gets easier to move around.
I have a Palisades II backpack that Maddie used to wear and I was thinking it may help burn off some energy during our walks.
Or do you have any other suggestions about how to tire him out?

If you want you can borrow one of our backpacks and try it out. You can always bring him over here and he and Ricky can wear each other out. We can talk about it next weekend during Winter Walk.

Thanks Ted. I have a backpack, I'm just wondering if it's ok for him to wear it. I was worried about his joints.
I'd love to bring him to play with Rickey, do you think we can afford the vet bills?

At a year as long as you are not putting a lot in there a couple of water bottles should be fine.

Morgan needs some energy burned off to! I think as long as the backpacks not filled with bricks it should be ok. See you guys on Saturday! Morgan should be rearing to go after her vet appt in the morning. Don't even bring up vet bills right now! I seem to be going every couple weeks. This should hopefully be it for awile. She's totally doing better. Just doesn't eat like she was but getting better.

Glad to hear Morgan's doing better. Does anyone know how long the walk is? I won't be staying after. I'm a little nervous about leaving Murphy in the car unattended, and I'm not sure how close to the house I'll be able to park.
So far the weather report is 35 and sunny. Sounds like great weather for a walk!

Don't know? I think we could hang out outside of the house. We aren't putting Morgan in the car by herself either. 35 may be good for the dogs. BBrrrr!
