Attack of the Zhu-Zhu Pets

poor Montana -- he was attacked by my daughter's zhu-zhu pets. for those of you who don't know what a zhu-zhu is, they are small hamster toys that zoom around the floor by two wheels. they are cute, fuzzy and come with a very clear warning -- "TO PREVENT ENTANGLEMENT, KEEP HAIR AWAY FROM WHEELS"

well, for the first time since Emma has gotten any of these toys, Montana was lying in the living room sleeping when she decided it was time for her herd of zhu-zhus to race around the floor. I was in the kitchen making corn chowder when Emma came in and very quietly told me " mamma, I need your help". I asked what she needed, and she told me that "Tana has my zhu-zhus stuck to him".

I should have taken a picture -- Poor Montana had 4 of these things stuck on his tail and butt -- wheels were not moving anymore, but they were all making their various noises. he had No clue what the heck was going on, and kept trying to catch his tail and the critters that were making all the noise.

the happy ending is that very minimal hair was lost from Montana, and Emma was sternly told to not play with them if Tana was in the same room with her.
I don't know which is more frustrating, kids or pets?

Okay, I am not laughing. Really. Having had a Xmas incident with Lizzie and Kung Zhus (boy version), I'm just saying I understand and wish I would have taken a pic as well. :)

Sorry, I am laughing, that must have been quite the site, poor Montana. Clifford is only mildly interested in them. Annie, my Jack Russell, grabs them up and wants to kill them. Annie can't even be in the same room when we play with them.

They have invaded my house as well... gah. My dogs LIVE here, my grandkids do not. But the mommies send these toys to my house, with the admonition: they can't get hair in them, so keep your dogs away. DUDES!!!! keep the toys at YOUR house, k? thanks

sheesh

Oh, when they come up with that quiet, "I need your help" you know you're in for it.

I got that when Ashton decided to see what Maggie's prong collar felt like on her neck. Needless to say it didn't fit over her head, and she had it so tangled in her hair I thought I was going to have to shave her bald.

Pretty funny, glad it ended well for all concerned. Montana could have really been traumatized by that...glad that he played it cool.

We also have those infernal things, I hate them. All plastic, noise and just...ick.

The visual is great! Might be better without pictures. Gitche still chases her tail from time to time and that's with no noisy aliens attached!

Glad there was minimal hair loss :)

Makes me really glad that my kids are teenagers and only want expensive toys (well maybe I'm glad about that).

LOL. It's no wonder they come with a warning to keep them away from long hair??

My Zuzu (!) loves my daughter's zhu zhu pets. My daughter takes them out and sets them off, and when one stops, Zuzu gives it a whack on top, trying to make it go! :)

Your Tana sounds amazing!! I have to admit, I would have liked to see a video of that... so wonderful that he wasn't upset by it, just a little bewildered. :)
