Apple picking in the Finger Lakes

Here's Finn (Huck's big bro) ready to assist in some serious apple picking. We had so much fun filling his cart that we're now up to our eyeballs in apples. Any ideas--we've made applesauce, apple muffins, apple pies, apple fritters...

Nice shot of Finn. Why don't you set up a roadside shop with Finn and cart and sell some of those apples?? I think you could get some really interesting shots of Huck & Finn interacting with people who would probably stop more to see the dogs than to buy the apples!!

Finn looks quite pleased with himself! Love the picture. Here's an idea for some of those extra apples. Core them but leave the skin on, put them through a blender and freeze. This is great to add in little spoonfuls to their food. Apple is very good for them.

I grew up in the Finger Lakes and I used to love to go apple picking (and the yummy things my mom would make afterwords!) I live in NC now and I love it but Oh, the memories!
