it's about time!!! All three were so excited I had trouble getting their life vests on them, and Beau tried to knock down the gate before I could take it down. Needless to say they were all a little anxious to get in and swim!!!

Cole and Beau didn't wait for Mom to get her camera or the bumpers, they just took off. :)

I had better ensure that Moby does not see the pictures otherwise he will be looking for a larger pool. Noticed the ‘life jackets’ on all 3 newfies, curious as to why? extra safety?

The life jackets keep their back legs up. You don't want them walking along the bottom with their back feet possibly tearing the liner, plus it makes them swim with their back legs as well, so they get an all around workout instead of just their front legs and chest.

I was just telling Aunt Ellen today, I didn't think you had to pool open yet. Glad to see the pictures, because we are now going to plan a BIG pool party on the 5th. Pesky little varmints are NOT invited. :)

Have to ask...what do you have in the pool for them to stand on? We have a pool like that one (smaller tho) and would love to give Maggie a resting place. Good tip about life jacket and keeping back paws up. Love the photos. Happiness in water!

We used 2 6' long tables with 4 trash cans as legs. (holes drilled in them so water will fill up and help hold them down along with some blocks.) Before we had 3 Newfs though we had one of the round umbrella tables. Allen fixed a couple of bar weights held on with a large bolt and run through the umbrella opening. Instead of the legs (didn't hold up) we used the oblong stackable shelves (plastic). The table(s) also serve as the shelf for the ramp to help them get in and out. Hope this helps.

How do you keep them from tearing the liner with nails?

We are putting in an above ground. I want to let them in but hubby is already frothing about puncturing the liner.
