Anyone from Louisiana?

Is anyone on NN from Louisiana? One of our pups (nearly 3yrs, now in Germany) is moving to central Louisiana with his family in December. The owner's eager to meet any newfs in the area & especially get recommendations on any alligator-safe water areas.

(nope, not their chosen location, but work forces to relocate)

Hello from Louisiana! If they're in central Louisiana.. they're a hike from New Orleans, but may well be able to hook up with the OWNC member in Shreveport, depending on where they'll be living. I'll pm you with my contact information anyway, in case they're ever coming to New Orleans. I also may be able to give them some guidance on lakes, etc since I have lived in a number of different places in LA over the years. Actually, alligators aren't that big an issue in most of central and North Louisiana, more a "swamp" thing
I'd also be happy to offer up advice on owning a newf in our heat and humidity

Thank you for your messages, I'm sure she will be more than glad to have a newf-web when she moves ! She is absolutely terrified of the heat & humidity issues (& alligators, but glad to hear they're not a huuuge problem), especially because Vuori's used to walking 6.5km's 5-6 x per week. He goes crazy if he doesn't get the exercise, hence looking for a safe water area for him to swim in (absolutely loves water & swimming). I'll pass your contacts to them .

Ahso! A similar sibling :groovy: For a while there it looked like they might have come to the PacNW and I was really excited. Praying Louisiana is good to Vuori, another voom voom go go boy.
