Antler Chews

I ordered some from the Antler Pantry. If you get some, make sure you specify you want the split ones, not the whole antler. The marrow is exposed on the split ones.
I ordered the whole ones and the newfs weren't interested in them. They laid around here forever, and I finally gave them away. (the antlers, not the newfs! :) )
Many on here say their dogs love them..............

Dogs do love them. They last pretty long, but they do wear out and you need to pick up the small piece before it gets swallowed. The guy I purchased from said you can smash the remains into bits and add to their food, but I was reluctant to do that for fear it would have a sharp edge.

My biggest issue is the cost. Off of the Internet seems to be the cheapest, but in the pet stores, they are outrageous (my opinion). I did find the best price at a dog show. But even there, $20 for a 12 inch piece, seemed steep in comparison the practically free marrow bones I get at the butcher.

Our boys love them - but agree price is high in stores (esp for ones that are big enough for a Newf) and once small, they have to be taken away.

We have several of them. I found a buy one, get one free sale a few months ago at the site below. The dogs like them just enough to not try to eat them up immediately! They will chew on them for a long time, and them leave them for a day or two. I do notice that the ones with the marrow (split) seem to give Darcy gas, but she has intestinal issues and shouldn't be having those anyway. She loves to pick them up and drop them on the tile floor repeatedly, making a "ding ding ding" noise, just to get my attention, when the repeated ringing of the bells don't work. But, yes, antlers are great!

This is where I bought mine:

Just found a new store (has Nature's Variety food AND self-wash) and they had the antlers, too! Boys have been chewing on them all night!
