Another Senior Birthday

Piper is 10 today!

I just find that hard to swallow. She has always been my baby, and I'm not sure I can grasp the fact that she is greying in the muzzle and getting stiffer in the joints. When did that happen?

But she will have her birthday and it will be as glorious as I can make it. I've been thawing out a couple of nice ribeyes for us, and then we'll share some yogurt for dessert. And of course presents...a nice raw bone to gnaw on, and a new stuffie. Let the party begin!

It is amazing how quickly the years go by. Seems one day they are young and full of energy and the next they have greying muzzles and stiff joints.:cry::cry:

This is under General.

But Piper thanks you (and everyone) for the Birthday wishes! She doesn't care a whit about your eyesight. She thinks you're perfect just the way you are and would love to share her steak with you! She also thinks it would be great fun to smear each other with the yogurt. But that's just between the two of you.

Must be today's rain messing up my glasses. Yeah, that is why. Hehe, you still put Senior in the title, so still a bad Momma. :)

Funny, though I have wondered when Snuffles would be considered Senior. So I guess next April 2nd, it will be "Another Senior Birthday"

Don't know if you remember Yogi & Cordelia's Erin from here, but she use to live a few blocks from me and moved to Ohio just before Snuffles became mine. Anyway, Cordy died prematurely I think of bone cancer, and Yogi died a very ripe old age. Erin ended up getting a new puppy and I think Piper's litter sister Sadie from you know who. So I said happy birthday to Sadie via Facebook when I realized they were litter sisters.
