Anal Gland Surgery

Has any one ever have an Anal Gland Removal Surgery, they are suggesting it for Belle because her glands always fill up, she is on grain free TOTW, and she seems to get either UTI or Staph infections, I express her glands about every 7-9 days. The vet thinks the UTI comes back because of the Anal Glands.
Any help or suggestions please.

Can't help on that one sorry. Would there be any side effects from having them removed?

Have you tried feeding her raw? I am not an expert on anal gland issues but I can tell you that switching our two dogs to raw has cut the amount of stool volume by more than half. They process the raw meat so much better that there is less stool! I may be reaching but less stool seems like there would be less to fill the anal glands. If it worked it would be less stressful than surgery.
