All my dogs have despised thinning shears

I'm wondering if it is because I use the kind you buy at Petco and if I need to buy a better brand?

Does anyone know of a good online video for how to use thinning shears?

If you have an inexpensive pair, they will not be sharp, and will pinch and pull the hair as you cut.

This the pair I have and have very good luck with it over the years. I am not sure what price point you are at though, but it can be cheaper in the long run to get one good pair than to keep buying cheaper scissors...

Ours don't mind them much either except for on the ears. They don't like the snip snip snip so close to their face/ears.

I have a pair of Kenchii, and I love them. They're called "flippers" because you can use them from either side. (I have the first set on the page)

I am a failure at using thinning shears. So, I use the clippers with a comb guide on Gracie's ears. Looks good to me!
