I also am FASCINATED by spontaneous human combustion. Here one minute minding your own business, then POOF, up in flames ya go

Oh, Lord... when I was about 10 years old, I read an account of spontaneous human combustion, and it scared me out of my wits. Years later, I read a fairly convincing debunking of the phenomenon, but even so, just hearing the term still gives me the willies.

Spontaneous human invisibility is another topic that can provide some entertaining reading.

Hmm..invis. and spont. I just HAD to go look that up. While I have no idea..what might be..'at play' (besides wishful thinking)..my fast take..on things..is it might be that the person..who 'feels themselves to be invisable'..has actually had a miniture stroke..whereby they have no memory of the time frame and the deepest portions of the brain..react to the emotional shock..at 'no memory'..thereby offer an explanation of sorts..to the upper levels of consciousness as in the 'wandering around', or..another person..under some stress..is having one of those grey spot in the retina..similar to floaters..that obstructs ones vision..again under stress, and cannot see anything..out of the affected eye, thereby passing up a person..for whom, they are looking for. I question the spontaneous invisibility. I looked it up too. But where spontaneous combustion is concerned, there have been documented accounts of people simply walking down the street, and spontaneously combusting into a pile of ashes..with no ignition source..Also people sittin in a lounge chair in their home, and combusting into ashes, with nothing around them burned to speak of...where a like fire would have consumed the whole home...Interesting....I never rule anything out.There is so much we do not know...and consider that more primitive man refused to believe alot of things that are common place today. Even just a few hundred years ago..so..Bigfoot? Aliens visiting? Other dimentions ? could be perfectly plausable..

Spontaneous invisibility? Now that I am familiar with. You see, Thing 2 can do this! One minute he's standing right next to me, and as soon as I say, "It's time to take out the trash..." he's gone. Dis-right-appeared, into thin air. No one can find him either, and he won't answer when called. It's truly amazing, and he's had this, er, "talent" for years!
As for spontaneous combustion, I'm not so sure. Living with Thing 2 would cause any parent to spontaneously combust if it was a real phenomenon. :lol:
