Ziggy the ferret crossed the bridge this weekend. He came to me unexpectedly as a rescue; his parting was just as unexpected as his arrival.

Ziggy was the embodiment of joy. His happy dance could always make me smile when I was down. He took the greatest pleasure in simply being alive, and he, more than with any of my furfriends, reminded me that there's always time to have fun, be silly and enjoy life.

I miss you, Ziggy-Piggy. I wish we could have spent more time together.

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss of Ziggy. We just had to help our ferret Nuriko to the bridge on Valentines day. I'm sure they're up there doing the "weasel war dance" together. You're so right....they are the best example of pure joy and fun I can think of on this earth. My thoughts & prayers for peace & comfort are with you.

Hugs to both famlies..as the loss of a companion ferret..is leaving a 'certain silence' of sound and motion. Small though they are..the whimsy and playfullness..enriches lives. Wiggles..and impish faces..show up in the darndest places. Hold close the sweet memories..and look forward to sharing those lessons..with the 'adding in'..of a new little furperson..when you can. I'm so sorry about Ziggy. I've never had a ferret living with me, but have friends with four of them. They are hysterical to watch. Remind you that life is for play too, not just work. My condolences.......
