Yelda is in the dog house

Annie Milliron

Alpha Goddess
Yelda, who is part goat, has been very bad. Very Very bad. Our dining room table, is, sadly, and much to my mother's dismay, a catch all for everything. Russell is taking care of his Mom's mail and such while she is in Florida. He brings it in, leaves it on the dining room table.

Fast forward to a couple of days later. Yelda adores paper, and sneaks into the dining room and steals things from the table. And of course, she gets some of my Mother inlaw's papers, which are TAX DOCUMENTS needed so she can file. She didnt' eat them all. I keep her with me at all times, but, there are times when I'm taking care of some thing personal ;) and can't really keep an eye on her.

So, she takes off, does a drive by, grabs whatever she can, and proceeds to eat it.

I realize she's not "right there" and take off to find her. I discover the damage, and my heart sinks.

OF course.. there are many obvious solutions... like DONT LEAVE STUFF WHERE SHE CAN GET IT.

But the bottom line, is, I need to train her and correct this.

So, for those of you who have been wondering: Yelda, from Helda LIVES.

Marley has volunteered to come down for a visit and help "train" her. He says he knows all sorts of ways to get into trouble in just a few minutes when the humans are busy taking care of..ahem...*business*

At least Yelda waits until you are indisposed. Yesterday, I was doing a major basement cleaning and Brody felt ignored. While my son was watching TV, Brody destroyed a checker set and ripped up my son's school project. I heard galloping around upstairs but I figured Brody was playing with his toys.

I still can't figure out how my son didn't know what was going on especially since they were in the same room together. I guess now that my son has to do his project all over again, he'll pay more attention to shredding sounds.

Yes, "My dog ate it," is a truism for many of us here! That Yelda! They always seen to know what's the most inconvenient to snack on - every single time!! Good thing we love 'em so much!! LOL

One thing I can definately be thankful for is Merlin is only food driven...If he was like Yelda, Dan would have to make a point of being a little neater.
Though my Brumis once ate a $500 child support check:lol:
