Who doesn't love a lap dog?

We took Darwin in our apartment swimming pool this morning--before anyone else was awake, because I think it might be against the rules. Better to ask forgiveness than permission, says my husband. Besides, it was 54 degrees, who in their right mind is going in the pool? He wasn't thrilled, but he did swim a bit with my husband, then was very eager to get out. No sun meant he needed a bath and blow. So we went to the dog wash and spent two hours blowing. He wasn't impressed.

I don't WANT white paws, Mama!


When we got home, he gave me the silent treatment. I invited him up on the sofa, to gain back his love. Only he went straight over to India and sat on her lap. Pardon the crappy quality, I only had my iPhone to take a quick picture.

I apparently get NO LOVE.

It's actually a gigantic sectional... probably the biggest sofa we could find. I think that 6 people can sit on it comfortably!

Oh, I've gotten that silent treatment before. It really is only temporary. Sounds like you have the beginnings of a water dog. He sure is getting big!

Everyone but Darwin is freezing in the 68 degrees we are keeping it for flea deterrent! I frequently keep my feet under him to keep them warm!
