What if they won't eat RAW?????

I have tried to switch our guys over to raw but I have a very stubborn Newf (Baker) who refuses to eat anything raw!!!!!
We have tried everything we can think of but he will not eat any meat, bones, veggies or fruit raw....hates fruit....If it is cooked, he loves it, If it is raw, forget it..... he will cry real tears. And I do mean cry, BIG crocodile tears, pace the floor and whine if there is raw food in his food dish. He did this for 2 days until I caved and gave him back his kibble. He won't even take it out of your hand.
I have been feeding Canidae for some time now.
So, I don't know how to precede from here, maybe I should just stick with what has always worked.
I just don't want to have 3 different kinds of food to prepare each mealtime. (having 3 finicky children is enough)
Anyone have suggestions????

I had a small problem with Kelvinn eating raw at the begining.. I took a Chicken Bouillon Cube made some bouillon and poured it over the food.. he almost ate the bowl along with all the food hehe.. i did this every day for 3 days.. adding less and less bouillion each day until i didn't need it anymore. As for veggies.. even today unless a carrot is ground up he won't touch it whole, and yes cooked veggie he will eat.. but cooked food is not the point when feeding raw.. u cook out all the stuff the dog needs when giving cooked.. anyway.. try the bouillon.
Wish i could feed raw again.. *SIGH*

I say, if it's not broke, don't fix it! If the Canidae is working and he likes it then continue to feed him that. I know many feed raw because they feel that is the best, but most I think feed raw because of some food allergy or some other problem with food. Your guy seems to like his food and he is thriving so I would not change. JMO :D

Nasus has a good suggestion about the boullion. You might also want to try some of that gravy (yuck) that you get in a jar (for humans) and mix that up with the raw. Or if your dog likes peanut butter, you may want to soften it a bit and mix it well with the raw. Sounds yummy, doesn't it? :D

I suppose anything you know your dog loves, if its mixable, try it.

PS. Just thought of it. Canned salmon, jack mackerel. Stinky stuff usually works. Keep us posted.

Hey Kathy, sorry you're having troubles. What about lightly steaming the food? That would barely cook the outside but not kill the enzymes? And then, as time goes, less and less steaming??? I don't know. I hate to add stuff to their food if I'm not going to keep feeding it but it's worth a try. And I know that cry, Stoli's got it down pat. Must be genetic.

Lucy doesn't like her food COLD. Put the meat in a ziploc bag, and let it float in a bowl of warm (not hot enough to cook it) water. Drain and refill the water a few times, till the meat is between room temp and water temp. You can add your veggies to the bag, too. Also, be sure you're running the veggies through the food processor to break down the cell walls and make the food digestible for the dogs.
