What A Day

Yesterday was one of those rare days in "show biz" when everything came together for me and my crew. The 10 hour drive, lack of sleep and too much fast food was worth it!

The day started with seeing a few friends that I haven't seen since moving 900 miles across country. Then it progressed on to the show ring where my French Bulldog male puppy took Winner's Dog for a 5 point major. Then my French Bulldog female took Winner's Bitch for a 3 point major. Then she went Best of Winner's to make it a 5 point major. That was all before lunch (yes more fast food!) Things kept on the positive roll as Chloe, my Newfie girl went Winner's Bitch/Best of Opposite. Not quite a major in Newfs but we were happy with the 2 points.

The moral of this story is to hang in there. For every disapointing day you have at a show, there comes along one like yesterday to keep you coming back for more. The ride home might not have been faster but I think I floated for much of the trip!

That is great! I have just became familar with the french bulldog. My daughters boyfriends mom and sister have them. We were there last week for dinner and Amos, who is 10 months old now is such a little character. He realy liked me for some reason and insisted on smooching my face. I was sitting on the floor and he just loved me! What a cute and funny little breed. I love the way they walk and sit too!
you should post some pictures!

Newf York, Would your breeder be from NY and the frenchie's name is Crunch? If so, I went to the French Bulldog National Specialty in Indianapolis with them this past September. What great people! We fell in love with the "little french fries" at the same time and made a pact to each get one. I ended up with three but then I never do things in a small way! Small world isn't it?!

Congrats Susan! What show was this? I know what you mean, a great show makes up for all of the bummer ones.
