Wanting Draft Equip

I'm looking into drafting with my Newf. I got lost looking for small carts and harness's.
Would appreciate if anyone has a harness that will fit my 100 lb girl. I don't see her getting much bigger since she's almost 2 years old.
As for a cart I will most likely make one. Is there a size limit as to how small or big it can be for AKC testing?
Will appreciate any help with websites or items needed.
Thanks!

My Chase is small weighing in at only 97lbs. Gary made her cart so I could get a DD with her. I have not used it in years. Interested? PM me if you are.

Been a busy day here. Really need a winter activity to keep Morgan from getting lazy and fat. To cold to swim here so carting is another idea. Any help or ideas would help! Thanks!

Did a CD class Wednesday morning. She did pretty good and I sucked. Problem I work most weekday mornings so need to find another class on my schedule. Loved it since the group was all Newfs friends! If I go back I'll be sure to have a camera! So entertaining and helpful when all the same breed. Not like my other class at all!
Just thought carting would be fun for us and a good outside activity besides walking around the block.

Don't think I want to do Rally until she at least has her CD. Thinking drafting would be good so we could at least work on getting her DD title as well as her CD hopefully next year? Don't need anymore sticks in the fire with the WD training as well. Never ending training!
Hope it all pays off eventually?

Rally was actually supposed to be the step before a CD. It's really more fun for the dog and you don't have to be so precise. Think about it!!!

Didn't know Rally was a first step?
Great videos on drafting. I did steward our last club test but these showed so much more behind the scenes. Thanks for sharing!!

It's easier to go into Obedience with Rally title first. Contact Tara Martin (NCNC) I believe she can make a harness. There is also Dog Works and a Couple of other places. Roger Danielson also makes harnesses.

does anyone have a siwash harness they'd like to sell or recommend where I can get one? Also if I can use one given: I have 3 young newfies ranging from 90 lbs (will likely top out at 110 tops) to my 3 yr old female that is 130 lbs? Thanks ahead of time for your input. For the cart, i'm going to pick up a bicycle child trailer (they are 2 wheels that can typically convert to 3, pretty light weight and can hold a max of 100 lbs of "cargo." Figured that would be good to get started. opinions?

Thanks!

Ditto!
Ebony and I did it backwards and she earned her CD the same day we first entered and tried Rally. Rally was much more enjoyable for us both since you can talk to and encourage your dog! Rally is a great way to get in the ring with your dog in a more relaxed event before trying for a CD.

I didn't know either originally. Went and did Liz's BN and now going in for CD but am backing up to do Rally as she seems to really enjoy it. I'll start with Rally with Magic from the get go now that I know!

I bought all my drafting equipment at Wilczek and really like it.

There's a Rally class starting in January. Thinking of joining it. Thanks for all the input. Maybe we'll be able to go to the show at the end of January.
