Walmart rawhide

ALERT. Do not buy or give your dogs any rawhide from Walmart. It has been found to contain formaldehyde.

Probably some more of the Chinese stuff. I never buy or feed anything to the dogs that's connected in any way to China. Watch that for them more than myself.

Me too. Avoid the Chinese stuff and be sure that the label says where it was made, not just distributed from. I was looking at some rawhides today but they all said they were distributed from somewhere in the USA. I'm sure they were from China originally.

All rawhide is processed with formaldehyde...It's used to separate the layers of the hide. I never feed rawhide of any kind. Apparently there was a batch that contained higher than usual levels that made some dogs very ill.

It's interesting you posted this because as I was looking for some treats today at walmart I saw the rawhide and wondered if it was safe. (Compared to the bags our vet sells)

Rawhide can be VERY danderous! It can get stuck in dogs throats, very hard to dislodge, and can cut off the dogs air supply!

Rawhide can cause a blockage in the intestine as well. I never give my dogs rawhide. Thanks for the warning.
