Well the first week we both went, 2nd and 3rd was just me. Our trainer has been able to observe Larry, listening, and not listening (week 3) to me. She has given me lots of tips. Class is going good. We keep a journal as to what we have practiced. Our class is very "mixed", lab puppies, Scottie Pup, Adult Labradoodle (scared) and sits on his moms lap. Larry is fine tuning his skills and it's good Mommy time. We hope he can get his CGC someday. I know he can do it. The lady that has been sitting next to us is kind of persnickety, she has a hyper lab pup and Larry just kicks it and sits there watching!!! There are only 7 dogs in our class, so we get some one on one and since we are the first class of the day, I get there early and get some "extra" training!!

Do you suppose the lab is hyper because of his owner's behavior? It's funny how dogs mirror their owners, sometimes.

Our Maggie's first obedience class was in the evening. She was the pup who always fell asleep between commands. She'd get it right the first time, then we'd repeat it two or three more times, then she'd snooze while the rest of the "other breeds" worked on it. The instructor would laugh and tell me to wake her up when we were ready for the next part of the lesson. (The instructor also owns several Newfs).

Abbey says " You're soooo smart Larry". Good job Larry and Kris. We have faith that Larry will be getting his CGC in no time. Abbey sends her man Larry lots of :icon_knuddel: and :kiss::kiss:.

Well, as for the lab, I think the opposite is true for his owners, the dad is friendly, but the mom :(, hasnt smiled yet. AND, yes Larry is pretty much the snoozer, Last we worked on "go to bed" and to Larry that meant ALL THE WAY DOWN, AND LAYING ON HIS SIDE. It was pretty cute!! Me and Larry are the walkers in the class, meaning that we need to keep moving or he becomes content observing !!! Our instructor said the same to us the first week about just hanging out until the next lesson :). Week four Monday night !!!:dance01::dance01: I think the advanced class will be interesting. It should be more of challenge for BOTH of us.
