Toxic Potpourri

My breeder just shared some information about two cavaliers that suffered strychnine poisoning and death following ingestion of a holiday potpourri. This particular potpourri was made in India and sold in the US by a very familiar large chain discount all-in-one store. Please be aware of what you have within your pups "reach". I don't have any further information about the exact brand of Potpourri but felt I needed to share the warning.

It's my understanding it's sold at Wal-mart and yes we should all keep these items away from all our animals and kids for thier safety....

Good safety tip! We try to be very aware of everything in our house. We never know what 10 month old Louie may decide to investigate.

Apparently, their dog had inhaled a nut from the bowl causing a nasty infection and emergency vet. treatment...an interesting read..
