There is life after CCL surgery-videos

As some of you know,Bruce has had both knees repaired with TTA surgery. First one in August last one October 2nd...exactly 3 mths ago. We took them up to Vermont for a week after Xmas and I am happy to say that he had no problems at all. He just loved running in the snow. I thought I would share a video of him running and having fun. He is the smaller one..always having to catch up after exploring. So my advice is..if your dog has a tear, get it repaired. Life is too short for them as it is :)

Here is another one on the trails..mostly of the scenery..but wanted to show how gorgeous it is up there. We had fresh powdery snow every day which was just perfect. Bruce was busy exploring in this one and you can see that Cash is looking for him. He is such a momma's boy so very torn whether to go with Bruce or stay with me. http://youtu.be/zWabetOr9zs

Such great videos! It literally brought a tear to my eye! I am so happy to see he is doing so well, and I can only hope Millie has the same results :)

I loved these! I completely agree with your comment about getting a tear fixed. It can sound so terrifying - the weeks of recovery, the activity restriction, the cost - but it is by far the best thing we could have done for Elvis. To see him out in the snow, running, rolling, and just being happy after this past fall is amazing.

It's nice to see this because my husband keeps asking me if we can ever let Elvis "be a dog again". He's so worried about him tearing the other leg, and while that is a possibility, we owe it to Elvis to let him be a dog. Let him play in the snow. Let him go downstairs with us. Take him for a car ride. We want to protect him as best we can, but he should be able to do what he wants (within reason). I love seeing videos and pictures of other dogs after knee surgery doing what they love to do. It only reinforces the fact that we did the right thing.
