This is just a big "THANKS" to all the people I admire on this board who have given their time, effort, help and advise to guide not only me.. but probably most of us.
Fortunately, because of your advise, guidance, help, information, experience, you all have shared.. It has altered our ways and has spared us of much heartaches.
I value this so much ...and wanted to thank you publicly

I am a new Newfie owner too.. Murphy is 13 weeks old.. if it were not for all the information from all the members here, I would be calling my vet often. After posting what seems like something weird the pup is doing, I realize from the responses that he is just being a NEWF!!
NewfNet has probably saved me a lot of trips to the vets

I, too, thank all of you for your advice and friendship. It is sooo wonderful to have found so many loving folks to share my passion for this wonderful breed of animal. I agree with SAR and wish we could all get together somewhere and meet in person (either that or I'm packin' up and moving to Long Island - Bear and Bumper and I feel like we are missing out something terrible !!).

Thanks again to all of you.

Be sure to dress very warmly Nancy- It's a tad cold here (5-15 tonight and maybe 30 during the day) but then my mom said it's supposed to be in the 20s down in FL tonight. 4 weeks and counting before we're in FL for the week! We'd like 70-80 degree days please (and not a lot of rain). :D

Being a first time Newf owner and finding this forum has really taught me alot about the breed. All the members are so wonderful and go out of their way to help with any question that is asked.
I have gained a wealth of information from NewfNet, more than any of my Newf books could provide. I too, wish that we could all meet someday, to be able to put a face to a post. Could you imagine 500+ newfs and their owners in one place at the same time? Nancy, are your bags packed yet??? :D

Thanks GAD for starting the best little NewfNet website in the world!

Ok so this opens the door for a thread I have been thinkning about starting. How would everyone feel about posting a photos of your self? We know everyone's newfs but not each other. Putting a face with a name would be great.

If you want to see 500+ newfies in one place. Go to the Nationals. It is an awesome experience.

Great idea Jeannie. It would be nice to see people's pictures too. I am usually the one behind the camera taking pic's of the dogs, LOL so I don't have much of me but I can work on that.

This is a great site. There is one other Newf in my area so I do not really have anyone who knows what it is like to live with a Newf, and in my case 2, to talk to. Having just gone on line, I look at this site everyday now, and truly enjoy it.

I would be ok with this, it would be nice to put faces to names! I have seen some of us in their Newfie photos, but many I haven't.

I really need to get some new ones of Rory scanned! All the ones I have are about 6 months old.

I'm new to the site & am looking forward to spending time hearing about all your Newfs. I owe special thanks to Sarnewfie as she is who recommended this site to me. I also owe her even more thanks for sharing our new joy, :D Schooner (12 weeks) - he's the cutie patootie trying to take the soccer ball from our 2 year old Desdemona "Desi". We sorely miss Othello who crossed the bridge July 2002.
