Swimming question

Any tips for getting my 2 to jump into the water?They have no problem swimming out into the deep water and walking down the pool steps but won't jump in

Does he play with a ball or a stick or a toy? If so, toss it in the yard for him to bring back a few times, then gently toss it into the water. This is how you teach the Labs to dock dive. Our girl, Flaget, when young and with a long running start could easly do 2/3 the length of our pool. That's 25+ feet.

You can try that but keep in mind dog's have bad depth perception so often times, that's why they can be afraid of pool water.

I think it was Bojie's mom who used a jar of peanut butter (I guess she was in the water with it) But I have also heard you have to be careful not to let them go under or they'll freak out - some people use dog life jackets to avoid that....?
