Some one off the street I might be a bit concerned, the other day we went to Arby's drive thru for their 5 for 5 deal, a two roast beef for me, one for Husker, one for Helo, and one for mommie. the drive thru guy gave us a small fry for the boys. we all enjoyed them...:D

No. Unless we provide people with the treats to give our girls, we never allow it. Especially from strangers who are "waiting with treats". A little odd, and who knows if they "laced" the treats with something? I'm just not that trusting of strangers.

I would not allow it either. From a stranger I would be very suspisous of the motive.
But I always carry a bag of dehydrated treats with me, mainly for all the kids that just love to pet Bär & want to feed him cookies. I just tell them, Bär gets a tummy ache from cookies, then hand out the treats that he is allowed to have. Keeps the kids & Bär happy.

Well, I completely agree- one needs to be cautious, and I would not accept treats from strangers. The priority is to protect your dog.

However, I have a couple of acquaintances who are basically harmless old men who love dogs, and I can see them doing something like this with no ill intent at all. Shoot, I can see myself turning into them and doing the same thing some day.... not that far from now!
